E-Readers changes the reading lifestyle of rural Children

 Nakaseke Community Library is  among the five (5) selected  Libraries in  Uganda to benefit from the E-Reader Project. So far  20 e-readers have been  received  to help the Library to reach out to marginalized Schools especially in far and hard to reach areas.

About 295 Children have acquired the basic skills in using the e-readers and they  use the e-reader  with little support . Children find them very interactive and enjoyable. The e-readers  contains beautiful African Stories  and subjects materials  like Mathematics, English , Science and Social Studies  and many other literature.

The Library has Trained  25 Teacher from  different Schools on how to utilize the e-readers to enhance their teaching skills. We have also worked out an Outreach Program to cover many schools among them they include;

However, our target  this year is to reach out to 15 primary Schools.
